7 days sailing Baja’s Pacific and Sea of Cortez coastline exploring remote anchorages, marine life, fishing, and the stark beauty of desert meeting ocean
Baja hits differently the moment you leave Cabo. Desert cliffs drop into deep blue water, and the coastline opens up into long, exposed stretches of ocean. This voyage moves through that space, rounding the cape into the Sea of Cortez, anchoring in remote bays, and pushing out into bluewater where we fish for tuna and dorado. Mornings are spent watching swell and paddling out when it lines up, afternoons shift between snorkeling, swimming, and moving along the coast, and evenings slow down with whatever we’ve caught. Some days are anchored in quiet coves, others are spent running offshore or exploring islands, but everything is shaped by the conditions and what the ocean gives us.

Day 1
Arrival in Cabo & Departure
You arrive into Cabo and step aboard by afternoon. The marina fades quickly as we move out toward open water, with the desert coastline stretching out in every direction.
Day 2
Rounding the Cape
We round the southern tip of Baja, where Pacific energy meets the Sea of Cortez. By afternoon, the water settles and we anchor in a protected bay for a first swim.
Day 3
First Remote Anchorage
We move north into quieter waters, dropping anchor in a secluded cove. The day unfolds between swimming, snorkeling, and watching marine life move through the area.
Day 4
Offshore Islands
We reach offshore islands and spend the day exploring rocky shorelines and clear water. Time stretches between dives, swims, and slow movement around the island.
Day 5
Fishing & Open Water
We head further into open water, dropping lines and moving between anchorages. The day is shaped by the ocean, with meals beginning to reflect what we catch.
Day 6
Final Anchorage & Slow Day
A quieter day at anchor. Swimming, exploring, or simply sitting with the landscape before the return.
Day 7
Return to Cabo
We sail back toward Cabo in the morning. A final coffee onboard before stepping back onto land.
